August 08 through January 09

It has been quite a while since I have updated the blog! We are still enjoying Hawaii very much! Zach and I have made two trips back to the mainland already for business and to visit the family that we miss so much! I have taken a ton of pictures, but here are some of my favorites! I hope to update again much sooner as Zach turns 3 in two months! :)

This picture was in the newspaper! It was from something called Bayfest where there were all sorts of humvees, helicopters, planes, etc. that were on display for people to look at, sit in and explore!

Also at Bayfest, they had a 50 cal for display! Zach even got to 'shoot' it!

Thought we sold the RX7 finally, so Zach and I flew back to Arizona to hand it over...Turns out the guy backed out, but we had a blast with family! Jasmine, Zach and Sydney hugging Chuck E Cheese

Field Trip Friends is back on again! We went to a corn field and got to pick our own corn.

Quick trip to Colorado in November! We got to see Grandpa!

Nana and Nanu were so sweet to drive us from California to Colorado and back to Arizona to fly out. We stayed at a wonderful home with a beautiful backyard!

Dad finally got his RC cars up and running again! Zach is ready to race the car!

When we lived in Oak Harbor, our neighbor had a son 2 weeks before I had Zach. They were great friends before we moved away, and now they have moved here! Zach and Weston picked back up being the greatest of friends immediately! It is too cute!

Zach stood up and paddled (assisted of course) on a stand up paddle board on the North Shore!

YAY! Finally he figured out how to ride his bike!!!! :)

Laura got a Wii for Christmas...here Zach and Dad are boxing! Love it!

We went to the zoo and a hippo came over to say hello! It was very exciting!

Hawaii!

We are loving Hawaii! :) It is so nice to be able to be outside so much!

I took a small boat course so that we could rent a power boat on my birthday! It was a great time!

Field Trip Friends - It POURED on us, so they gave us these leaves as makeshift umbrellas!

Field Trip Friends - Zach has now seen the world through a magnifying glass! ;)

Field Trip Friends - We went into Kaneohe Bay on a glass bottom boat tour. We got to see a lot of neat fish and some sea turtles!

We watched our friends' dog Coco for a week, and Zach just had a ball walking her and riding in the stroller with her!

Field Trip Friends - We went to a farm and they got to touch a bunch of animals. Here a goat is licking Zach. His favorite of the day was the bunnies, and he wasn't happy that he had to leave their house!

Right before taking my parents to the airport. It was a sad day, but we were all ready to get on with our lives on our own! ;)

We got Zach a lifejacket and he just loves swimming in ocean by himself now! Here he is swimming to Mom from Nana at Kailua Beach.

We took quite a hike up to Maunawili Falls. It was gorgeous the whole hour and 20 minutes it took us to get up, and I really enjoyed jumping off the rocks into the pool below! Zach is ready to be a hiker...if only he could walk a little bit more of the trails without being carried! ;)

Zach and I took Nana to SeaLife Park. Zach loved the penguins, but he did enjoy getting up close to the dolphins also!

Field Trip Friends - We went to a place called Frankie's Nursery, and it was so beautiful! So green and lush everywhere you looked!

Zach always sees the older kids climb the tree right in front of our house, so one day he decided he would try. This is as high as he got, but I am sure he will get it very soon!

Field Trip Friends - We went on a tour by a Chief that just scared Zach from the very first sighting! The mountain behind us is called Dragon mountain I believe (because it looks like a dragon). This area is where Lost and Fifty First Dates and a lot of other things were filmed.

Field Trip Friends - The first day we went, Zach got to ride a pony named El Dorado. He loved it!

2 Years Old!

At his 2 year check up he weighed 27 pounds (25th percentile), was 34.5 inches tall (50th percentile), and his head was 19.5 inches around (50th - 75th percentile).

Matt got orders to Hawaii! We are moving to Oahu in late May and will be stationed there for 4 years. We are sad to be so far away from family, but are so happy to have been able to spend this past 15 months with them!
